Abstract
The following summary, taken from the FID News Bulletin, Vol. 31, No. 1, serves as a capsule report of the joint meeting of the FID Education and Training Commit tee, the IFLA Division on Education and Research and its theory and research and library school components, and the ICA Education and Training Committee. This joint discussion was convened as a follow-up to the earlier policy conference held in Bellagio, Italy, in May 1980 where it was recommended that the three organiza tions' groups concerned with education and training might work together in a pilot effort in developing mutual relationships, planning and cooperative programme ac tivities.
