Abstract
Amongst corporations in the United States there is widespread interest in corporate model building, or the development of equation structures which quantify and integrate all facets of corporate activity. This is not yet so in Australia, and in order to stimulate activity in this area and to contribute to research into the structure of the Australian telecommunications sector, this paper describes the detailed specification for such a model of the Australian Telecommunications Commission's activities. Equations are developed for the demand for telecommunications services, resource requirements (capital, labour and material), costs, revenue and prices.
