Abstract
Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2024, this article employs the launch of provincial public data platforms as a quasi-natural experiment and adopts a multiperiod difference-in-differences model to investigate the impact of public data openness (PDO) on corporate supply chain antifragility (SCR). The results reveal that PDO significantly enhances corporate SCR. Mechanism analysis indicates that PDO enhances SCR by improving corporate perceptual ability, grasp ability, and transformation capability. Moderating effect analysis demonstrates that the level of digital technology application strengthens the positive influence of PDO on SCR. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the improvement effect of PDO on SCR is more significant in regions with higher levels of marketization, higher public data quality, and high-tech enterprises. These findings not only provide new insights into the practical implications of PDO but also offer valuable guidance for other developing countries aiming to enhance SCR.
