Abstract
Violeta’s story, which is presented below, is a story of militancy which, from a personal and firsthand perspective, offers food for thought for those who are interested in studies of labour conflict and workers’ collective organisation and how, through these, emancipatory forms of political construction can take place. Violeta tells us about different aspects linked to the construction of organisation, the role of leadership and its link to patriarchal relations, the types of collective action used and the different strategies deployed in relations with the state, over the last 25 years of Argentinean history.
