03–04 October 2014: 2014 Annual ISPO UK Scientific Meeting
Taking place in London (UK), key themes for the meeting include: amputation surgery, multi-limb amputation rehabilitation, socket technology and advances, recent advances on prosthetic technology, orthotics in neurological impairment. The prestigious Blatchford Lecture will be delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Donald Gajewski (Medical Director, Centre for the Intrepid, San Antonio, Texas, USA), an American orthopaedic surgeon with experience on amputation surgery in war veterans.

16–18 October 2014: ISPO Eastern European Regional Congress on Prosthetics and Orthotics – EPO 2014
All Prosthetics and Orthotics Societies in Turkey and ISPO Turkey are organizing the ISPO Eastern European Regional Congress on Prosthetics and Orthotics (EPO 2014), in Antalya (Turkey). The event aims at providing participants with an opportunity to discuss challenges to the P&O fields. The event programme will offer a variety of sessions including symposia, instructional courses, workshops, free-paper sessions and poster exhibitions. An exhibition will also take place in parallel to the congress.

18–19 October 2014: 30th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics
The 30th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics (JSPO) will take place in Okayama (Japan). The purpose of the meeting is to improve and advance the knowledge, expertise and technologies used by practitioners working with artificial limbs. The event is expected to host around 1,200 participants, including artificial limb manufacturers, medical doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists and engineers, among others.

19–22 October 2014: 6th Uniting Frontiers Forum /6º Foro Uniendo Fronteras
The 6th Uniting Frontiers Forum will take place in Quito (Ecuador), with a programme that offers a true multidisciplinary platform for professional fields related to the treatment and care of disability. The 2014 ISPO France National Congress will take place in Marseille (France). Presentations will focus on “what’s new in 2014?”, offering delegates updates on ISO norms and technological advancements in the P&O fields, with special focus on “Skin, wounds and equipment for lower limbs”, “poliomyelitis” and “head and neck devices”, amongst others.
