ISPO UK is celebrating its 40th Anniversary on 27-28 September 2012 in Sheffield, UK where the winner of the prestigious George Murdoch Prize Medal 2012 will be presented.
ISPO UK will be hosting a collaborative meeting with the British Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Amputee Rehabilitation and the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists providing participants with an exciting opportunity to enjoy some truly multidisciplinary networking and discussion about current practise and developments in the field.
Members of all relevant professional disciplines in the fields of amputation surgery, prosthetics, orthotics and bioengineering are encouraged and invited to attend.

25-26 October 2012: ISPO France Annual Congress, Lyon (France)
ISPO France has its upcoming Scientific Congress on 25-26 October in the Cité Centre de Congrès in Lyon, France. Held on a yearly basis since 1995, the congress aims to foster debate, facilitate multicentric studies, and provide appropriate sources to the Orthopaedic field, the French Administration, and the French Agency of Health Security.
The scientific program is organized in collaboration with all the participants of the field and representatives of most French-speaking countries are attending. Main topics for discussion will include technical innovations, purpura and amputation, the Charcot Marie Tooth disease – Orthotic treatment, thoracic distortion and the sitting position – technics and treatment.

8-11 December 2012 : 5th Foro Uniendo Fronteras, Guadalajara, Mexico
The 5th Uniting Frontiers Forum will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico on 8-11 December 2012. A joint initiative by ISPO Panama, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Costa Rica, the 2012’s conference will feature presentations on – amongst other topics - disability and family dynamics, multidisciplinary management of the burn patient, progressive resistance therapies, dysphasia: management and rehabilitation, rehabilitation and returning to work, sports medicine and adaptative physical education.
The Uniting Frontiers Forum is held every two years in the region on a rotating basis. It aims to foster interaction with other professionals in the field.

4-7 February 2013: ISPO World Congress 2013, Hyderabad (India)
The next ISPO World Congress will be hosted in India at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). It is aimed at orthotists, prosthetists, physiatrists, orthopaedic surgeons, physical and occupational therapists, rehab engineers and caregivers, clinical psychologists and social institutions.
It will allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of the latest advancements in products, facilities and assistance available in prosthetic and orthotic care.
Through this congress – and alongside its other activities, ISPO seeks to provide best rehabilitation options to persons with disabilities to assist them to regain functions and independence.
