30 September – 1st October 2011: ISPO Canada Annual Congress
ISPO Canada will hold its 2011 Symposium in conjunction with the Ontario Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists. The 2011 Symposium brings together an international array of experts with a wide spectrum of experience related to prosthetic and orthotic care.
It will feature two new session types: “Short Presentations/Case Studies” and “Demonstrations/Posters” sessions. Short Presentations/Case Studies aim to present novel and innovative contributions to the field including information about technical methods, clinical approaches, ideas and theories, new technology, service innovations, etc.
The Demonstrations/Posters aim to provide demonstrations of prosthetic and orthotic innovations in a “show and tell” or poster format focusing on patient specific solutions, unique design and fabrication methods, software, measurement methods, etc.

7–8 October 2011: ISPO UK Annual Scientific Meeting
The 2011 ISPO UK annual scientific meeting will take place in London on the 7th and 8th of October. The focus topic for the amputee portion of the program will be the dysvascular and diabetic amputee for which the Blatchford lecture will be given by Andrew JM Boulton, Professor of Medicine at the University of Manchester who has undertaken a vast amount of research in the field. The orthotic day will look to bring together latest research and thoughts on stroke rehabilitation with a view to discuss how this can be best implemented into treatment and management. 3–5 November 2011: ISPO Australia Annual Scientific Meeting
The 2011 Annual Scientific Meeting of ISPO Australia will be held at Dockside, Cockle Bay, Sydney from 3 to 5November 2011. The major theme for this meeting is the Psychosocial Impact of Disability and Limb Loss and Dr Pamela Gallagher, Director of the Dublin Psychoprosthetics Group will be the Keynote Speaker. Through a suite of acclaimed international and national speakers, this meeting aims to demystify the related psychosocial issues and equip delegates with a greater understanding of the impact of such issues on the management and care of their clients.

3–4 November 2011: ISPO France 16th Annual Congress
ISPO France will organize its 16th scientific congress at the Palais du Pharo in Marseille (France). Topics for discussion include: regulatory environment, techniques and technologies, biomechanics, lower-limb amputations, sports and disabilities, etc.

15–18 May 2012: ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK 2012, Leipzig (Germany)
In 2012, the International Trade Show will last three days from 16 to 18 May (Wednesday to Friday) while the World Congress will last 4 days (Tuesday to Friday). The World Congress for Prosthetics, Orthotics, Orthopaedic Footwear Technology, Compression Therapy and Rehabilitation Technology will focus on orthotics as an important topic for the future of the sector. All technicians, engineers, therapists and medical doctors interested in lectures or posters should apply before 30th September 2011.
