Analysis of an elastic elliptical inclusion in an infinite elastic plate under uniform remote tension based on the solution of the corresponding cavity problem
The method applied to the analysis of an elastic elliptical inclusion in an infinite elastic plate under uniform remote tension is based on the special deformation characteristics of the inclusion geometry. A precise solution to the general inclusion problem with variable stiffness can be obtained on the solution to a plate with an elliptical hole by the superposition of a specific inner stress field.
