Abstract
The text of Isaiah 5 poses a number of problems commonly ascribed to a long and complicated redactional process. Mostly it is thought that the Song of the Vineyard originally had nothing to do with what follows. Structural analysis of Isaiah 5 and 10.1-6, which is thought to be the continuation of the woe-oracles of Isaiah 5, confirms the presumed redactional expansion, be it on a far smaller scale than was hitherto thought (5.8-10, 24c-25; 10 4b). The remaining text exhibits a highly regular structure. It may be an Isaianic exposition of the Song of the Vineyard.
