Abstract
The establishment of a new facility for occupational therapy education has led to the development of an initiative in fieldwork education and practice. The innovative principle of offering occupational therapy practice within an educational unit has been put into effect. Two clinics, a bathing clinic and a head injury clinic, are now in operation and a third is planned. The innovation was implemented in close cooperation with fieldwork colleagues and as part of the college's mission statement which makes a commitment of service to the community. This article describes the development of the clinics and the running of one of them, the bathing clinic.
