Abstract
At the CSP Council meeting in June 1991, the then chairmen of the Councils of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the College of Occupational Therapists agreed to set up a CSP/COT working party to look at joint management issues arising out of the implementation of the NHS reforms and the regional contracting of occupational therapy and physiotherapy education. Meetings took place and this joint statement was drafted. Both Councils endorsed it at their meetings in June 1992 and it is being published simultaneously in both professions' Journals.
