Abstract
Traction lesions of the brachial plexus which occur as a result of motorcycle accidents are unfortunately on the increase. The implications of these injuries are considerable when one considers that young men in the prime of life make up the majority of this category. Early assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, which are best carried out by a multidisciplinary team, lead to these patients being better equipped to return as functioning members of their communities at the earliest opportunity.
