How Do other Professions View Occupational Therapy?

Abstract

Early in 1985, a small project was undertaken to look at other professions' understanding of the role of the occupational therapist. This exercise highlighted the difficulty in establishing direct communication with the consultants and to a lesser degree the doctors, and emphasized the important role the ward sister has in the coordination of all aspects of patient care.
