Anorexia Nervosa: A Review of the Theoretical Perspectives and Treatment Approaches

Abstract

The treatment of anorexia nervosa usually involves one of three models — Physical, behavioural, or psychodynamic — although treatment is often based on a combination of these models. The theoretical perspectives of each model are examined and treatment approaches described.
