The Sequence and Structure of Handwriting Competence: Where are the Breakdown Points in the Mastery of Handwriting?

Abstract

Handwriting is a complex symbol system. Pupils with specific learning difficulties referred to the occupational therapist may have handwriting difficulties. A comprehensive assessment is necessary to diagnose where the breakdown is occurring in order to offer a meaningful treatment plan.
