Abstract
Modern trends and techniques in the field of education indicate the need for an overhaul in many aspects of teaching and learning approaches. The occupational therapy course is not immune to such developments, and the number of efforts within the profession shows that there is a growing awareness of current educational changes. There has been criticism in the past that the occupational therapy course is crammed with subjects and that students are often expected to display a factual knowledge of various topics. Some claim that there is too little importance attached to the learning process. This article looks at some present thoughts in the educational sector, and tries to apply them to the occupational therapy curriculum.
