The main content of the paper will examine the role of the occupational therapist in providing a balanced programme within the treatment setting of a group psychotherapy unit and to aid the psychodynamic process involved. The paper is based on a seminar given by the author at the Scuola Superiore di Servizio Sociale, Venice.
