Abstract
The author has, for the past 2 years, been working in a ‘dual post’ capacity, teaching at St Loye's and working with the mentally handicapped at Langdon Hospital, Dawlish. One of the common problems arising with this group of patients is that of feeding. She became involved in the organizing of a feeding workshop, established to identify some of these problems and to seek solutions to them. It is hoped that the article may prove useful to therapists working in this field, who would like access to information on feeding or who would be interested in organizing such workshops at their own hospital.
