Abstract
This article describes a method of teaching typing to children with cerebral palsy for communicative and therapeutic purposes using electric typewriters. Factors in evaluation of the handicap are outlined by flow chart analysis for possible remediation. A procedure of a teaching technique for hands affected by spasticity was devised. This was employed in three case studies which are documented. Successful involvement of a bilateral approach in typing was achieved with differing degrees of finger movement. Summary observations are noted.
