Malta (population over 290,000) has three main hospitals: a general hospital (800 beds), a geriatric complex (1,000 beds), and a psychiatric hospital (750 beds). Gozo (population over 23,000) has a general hospital (200 beds) and a psychiatric hospital (80 beds).
