Abstract
In presenting this brief account of the development of our organisation it has been impossible to pay tribute to all those who have contributed so much and who have enabled us to reach our present status. It has been necessary to mention a few names and to highlight parallel developments in the Scottish Association of Occupational Therapists and the Association of Occupational Therapists, and we regret that many names connected with major developments have had to be left out of this short survey covering half a century.
