Abstract
ESSEX Area Occupational Therapists' Co-ordinating Committee held a successful open meeting in the Chelmsford Medical Academic Unit on “Concepts of rehabilitation”.
The committee convenor reported on the committee's activities during the year, which had included policy and planning discussions with the regional and area supplies staff, and correspondence with the area administrator and area finance officer on problems affecting all occupational therapists in Essex.
Dr. J. B. Millard, Medical Director of Passmore Edwards Rehabilitation Centre, was in the Chair, and introduced the speakers — the area personnel officer, the area nursing officer, a nursing officer for rehabilitation, a physiotherapist, a head O.T. (Psychiatric), and a head O.T. (Physical), each of whom spoke briefly before the discussion was opened to the floor.
