Abstract
The Co-ordinating Committee on the Implementation of the Report on the Remedial Professions have recently been considering the relationship between the remedial and medical professions. They had heard that Dr. D. R. L. Newton who was at that time President of the British Association for Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, had views on this relationship which would, they felt, make a constructive contribution to discussion. They, therefore, requested the D.H.S.S. to ask Dr. Newton if he would be willing to set out his views. He did this and has agreed that the following letter could be made available to members of the remedial professions.
