Abstract
Miss Cooper, Head Occupational Therapist, describes an experiment at Winford Orthopaedic Hospital, Somerset, which is in the country seven miles from Bristol. Its 230 beds cater for acute orthopaedic cases. Out-patient treatment is limited to the few patients who live in the immediate vicinity.
