“A most interesting ‘clinical film’ was shown, in which four different case studies were presented and four people needing various types of treatment and rehabilitation made excellent ‘actors.’ A female polio-myelitis case was particularly good, demonstrating feats of housework which appeared alarmingly difficult, even dangerous. We were however assured that they were quite safe. Another interesting study was of a women with an amputated thumb, who was shown doing basketry and working with a fairly heavy plane … we were also interested by the stationary ‘bus,’ which helped to give confidence in coping again with the difficulties of public transport.”
