Errata

Abstract

In the report of the Extraordinary General Meeting published in the May issue of the Journal the following corrections should be noted:-

The motion

“That the Report of the Committee of Enquiry be approved and its recommendations to increase the annual membership fee from three guineas to four, guineas be adopted”

was seconded by Miss H. Towsey only insofar as

“the Report of the Committee of Enquiry be approved.”

The last paragraph on Page 70 should read

“Miss M. H. Kidston offered voluntarily to increase her subscription by one guinea as a mark of appreciation of the work of the Committee of Enquiry and appealed to other Members to make a similar gesture.”

It is regretted that under Leeds Regional News.(on Page 77 of the May Journal) it was inaccurately stated that Dr. J. A. L. Vaughan Jones was a member of the Piercy Committee. Dr. Vaughan Jones is a member of a B.M.A. Committee preparing evidence for the Piercy Committee.

It is also regretted that in the news from the South East Metropolitan Regional Group in the May issue, on Page 81, Dr. Radzan was designated as “D.Ph.” This should read “D.P.M.” “Electrical Curative Treatment” should read “Electro Convulsive Therapy,” “Thirty per cent of the patients are now employed” should read “Seventy-five per cent of the patients are now employed.” Statistics apply to the Male Side of the Hospital only.
