Abstract
The beings called mrwty or mrwryt mentioned in the Coffin Texts, seem to represent a divine complex which includes both the double uraeus and the pair of zoomorphic goddesses Isis and Nephthys. In spite of similarity of name, the two songstress goddesses Mrty should not be included here.
