Bemerkungen zur Bedeutung des Papyrus Nebseni (BM EA 9900)

Abstract

In a recent review of a publication of the papyrus of Nebseni, it was argued that certain Book of the Dead spells are rare, or only attested on that papyrus, and that hence these chapters might have a Memphite origin. However, further attestations can be found for nearly all of the spells in question, undermining these arguments.
