Abstract
On the basis of an analysis of the scientific-and-technical and patent documentation, the principal directions of development in the field of biocidal compositions with metal nanoparticles for the protection of non-metallic materials against microbiological damage are determined. Domestic and foreign technologies for protecting materials against microbiological damage with the use of nanoparticles are analysed. The long-term outlook for the use of nanoparticles of a number of metals as biocidal additives is substantiated.
