Abstract
For the case of a large-tonnage plastic (linear polyethylene) containing additions of nanosized silicon dioxide, it has been shown experimentally that thermomechanical and photochemical action on the obtained polymer nanocomposites leads to a change in the molecular and supermolecular structure of the polymer such that there is an increase in the strength of the materials at a temperature exceeding the equilibrium temperature of melting of polyethylene, and an increase in their softening point.
