A scheme is presented for synthesising polyether sulphones with groups of terephthaloyl-di(p-oxybenzoic) acid in the main macromolecular chain, and the results are given of an investigation of mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength and elongation at break, which characterise the behaviour of the polymers under conditions of application of large loads.
