An investigation was made of the influence of the content and size of the rigid filler particles on the mechanical properties of polyethylene-based composites. It was established that the use of fine particles (30 μm) leads to the formation of oval and diamond pores. In composites with larger particles (60, 130 μm), merging of the oval defects promotes the formation of transverse microcracks, which leads to rapid failure of the materials at low degrees of elongation.
