Abstract
“Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy…” [1] - this is probably what readers will ask when the mechanisms for the formation of plate out are postulated. While the first part of this article summarised the literature on the subject, this second part reports on the extensive experimental work in this field. These investigations provide information on the processing window for waxes. They also demonstrate the correctness and validity of the mechanism described by Lippoldt for lead-stabilised systems as well.
