Abstract
This article describes the CHOICE program, a comprehensive residential drug treatment program for offenders who have been seriously involved with drugs in the past. This ten-month program is comprised of seven principal elements or components-Intake/Evaluation/Follow-Up, Drug Education, Skills Development, Lifestyle Modification, Wellness, Responsibility, and Individualized Counseling/Case Supervision-each of which is discussed in the body of this paper. The individual strengths, weaknesses, and future research agenda of this residential program for drug-involved offenders are discussed in the conclusion of this preliminary report.
