This paper concerns a case study on the laboratory work coordination involving a large intake of students in the School of Mechanical and Production Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. It involves the setting up of student groupings for laboratory classes, schedules, attendance registers, marksheets, report submission records, etc. It shows how the coordination for the second-year laboratory course is planned and implemented with the aid of spreadsheet software. The method has been successfully implemented for several years to coordinate the second-year laboratory course [1].
