The project was championed by the Atlanta Police Foundation and supported by actors such as key government officials, the Mayor, the Atlanta Committee for Progress (a ‘public-private partnership’ featuring many CEOs of the city’s most prominent corporations) and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (the city’s paper of record).
