Abstract
Research on scientists' careers has relied heavily on secondary data sources. This Note compares data from curricula vitae and published sources on the same variables for the same group of academic psychologists. Agreement is close, so continued use of published information alone seems justified: but there is a need for further studies to evaluate the validity of the various data sources.
