A method is described whereby Heinz bodies in erythrocytes may be demonstrated in histologic sections of formalin-fixed tissue. It consists of applying Natt's stain to 4μ sections cut on a cryostat. The Heinz bodies appear with a clarity comparable to that seen in blood films.
