Once again, I urge all authors to adhere to acceptable nomenclature. This is well documented for anatomical structures in the Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria (2005). There is no excuse for continuing to refer to anatomical structures using eponyms. These are now archaic. We certainly should not expect our students to learn what these names mean. Journal editors should be aware of this and prevent its occurrence (see Sipma1).
