Abstract

This note is a belated welcome to our colleagues in Europe and Japan. The Japanese College of Veterinary Pathologists (JCVP) and the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) are collaborating with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) in publishing our journal. Veterinary Pathology is now the official publication of the ACVP, ECVP, and JCVP. Working towards common international standards for high-quality veterinary pathology practice, education, and research is a goal for all veterinary pathology certifying organizations. Collaboration in the publication of Veterinary Pathology by ECVP and JCVP with the ACVP is a step towards achieving improved harmonization of standards across these regions. With the larger subscriber base, the journal will attract even more top-tier manuscripts and amplify its impact in the biological science community.
We welcome our new editorial staff in this collaboration including Dr. Andrea Gröne of the University of Utrecht as the European Editor and Dr. Toshiharu Hayashi of Yamaguchi University as the Japanese Editor. Dr. Catherine George of Ipsen Innovation and Dr. Kunitoshi Mitsumori of Tokyo University join Veterinary Pathology staff as Associate Editors for Pharmaceutical Pathobiology.
Veterinary Pathology continues to grow and develop as the preeminent journal in the field of veterinary pathology. We welcome our European and Japanese colleagues' collaboration and look forward to the enhanced strength and diversity this opportunity affords.
