Abstract

Veterinary Pathology will be expanding its coverage by adding a new article section, Animal Models, beginning in September 2000. The purpose of this section is to feature important topics in disease modeling that will be of broad interest to both veterinary pathologists and to the larger scientific community. Areas to be covered will include genetically-modified animal models, technical advances in animal model development and evaluation, novel models and their applications, new applications for existing models, and dissemination of important information related to these issues. The Animal Models section will consider for publication both original and review articles submitted by investigators; a number of invited reviews will also be featured. All manuscripts will undergo scientific review. The guidelines for original and review article submission to the Animal Models section will be published in the September issue of Veterinary Pathology and also made available on the Journal web site. Dr. Stephen K. Durham of Bristol-Myers Squibb will serve as Associate Editor for this new section of articles.
