Twenty patients affected by head and neck advanced malignancies have been treated by an association of oral Methotrexate and radiation therapy. The used techniques and the immediate and short term results are illustrated. The best regimen suggested is to begin with the drug, and then to irradiate. Results are satisfactory if compared with that obtained by surgery or radiotherapy alone, and tolerance is generally good.
