Abstract
1) No cancer cells were detected at any time in the vena cava and aortic blood after the inoculation of nitrogen mustard. However when the mustard was administered in animals treated with fibrinolysin or with heparin cancer cells riappeared in the circulating blood; 2) the number of takes by subcute inoculation of blood of animals inoculated with cancer cells was also reduced with the administration of HN2, heparin or fibrinolysin; 3) following the administration of 100,000 Walker 256 cancer cells pulmonary metastases occurred in 84% of the control groups, in 41% of the nitromin treated group and in 33% of the nitrogen mustard treated group. However when the mustard was administered in animals treated with heparin or fibrinolysin metastases were reduced to 22% and 20% respectively.
