Eight Hürthle-cell tumors of the thyroid gland, 6 benign and 2 malignant, are presented. Of the two carcinomas, the first was a nodule isolated in a follicular adenoma, the second, observed in a 78 years old man, had lymph nodes metastases and was characterized by a very slow clinical course. The emi-thyroidectomy allowed a 5 years survival, without relapses, in four of the six adenomas and in the first case of the two carcinomas.
