The metabolism of normal renal cells cultivated «in vitro» undergoes several changes following contact with a microsomal fraction of neoplastic cell of KB strain. This new functional situation is characterised by a decreased O2 consumption and an increased aerobic glicolysis with a diminution of the oxydation/glicolysis ratio. Microsomal fraction of normal renal cells fails to induce any significant change.
