Abstract
5 anatomo-microscopical observations on the superficial and deep lymphatic vascularization of the liver in the presence of metastases from primary carcinoma of the stomach are reported.
On the basis of the exposed data it may be claimed that the superficial lymphatic network of the human liver in the presence of metastases from primary carcinoma of the stomach appears to be altered owing to the presence of new formed vessels of seemingly reactive nature. On the other hand, as concerns the deep lymphatic network in contact with the metastatic nodules, a slighter development in comparison with the normal is observed, with vessels of reduced diameter and a lack of continuity between metastatic nodule and adjacent tissues.
