Abstract
Sarcochlorine action has been tested in 38 rats, 24 of which had been previously inoculated with Oberling chloroleukemia (myeloma). Counts of red and white blood cells, measurement of the tumour size and organs examination in succumbed animals proved sarcochlorine to induce: a) a marked leukopenia mainly at the level of lymphoid cells; b) a fairly good function of hemopoietic marrow; c) the disappearance of the neoplastic mass; d) a complete regression of leukemic infiltrates in liver and spleen; e) a block of thyroid function.
