In rats bearing a rather advanced tumour (Walker carcinoma grafted into the thigh) a decrease of liver RNA level has been observed whereas liver DNA was found to be unmodified: hence, a diminution of the RNA/DNA ratio. The electrophoretical picture was characterized by a marked reduction of albumin and increase of alpha and beta-globulins.
