Researches previously carried out by one of us (Amistani) were continued. RNA content has been quantitatively determined (cytochemical method) in the cells of 37 epithelial tumours of the stomach. Considerations are drawn on the relations between concentration degree of RNA in the tumour cells and histological and clinical features of the examined tumours. To a higher malignancy and a lower age of the patients generally corresponds a lower content of the biochemical component.
