Endosalpingiosis of the ovary is considered. It is a finding unfrequently quoted in the literature though it may be a starting point of endosalpingioma. The possibility of mistaking endometriosis with endosalpingiosis and vice versa is mentioned. The two cases under examination are looked upon as a proof that all the three pathogenetic theories of endometriosis and endosalpingiosis (migratory, embryonary, metaplasic) may be accepted.
